The electronics industry is growing rapidly. We do our best to keep up through technical innovations and constant training. Due to the tendency to miniaturize components it is necessary to use special machines, which have the ability to catch errors in individual stages of production. This task is solved by automatic optical inspection machines (AOI).<\/p>\n
What is optical inspection?<\/strong><\/p>\n AOI control functions on the principle of image comparison. This allows for the identification of necessary parameters such as element orientation, defects or the amount of tin. The computer picks up all anomalies in relation to the template and immediately informs the inspector. Note, however, that it is the machine operator who decides whether a deviation is an error or not. Entering further information into the machine “teaches” it to recognize irregularities that may occur in the boards.
